Sungjin Lee

Postdoctoral Scholar

Sungjin Lee is a Postdoctoral researcher at the OERC. He is originally from Seoul, South Korea. He joined the OERC in August 2023, after completing his Ph.D. in Public Policy at the University of Missouri in May of 2023. His primary research interest is in policy analysis and evaluation for a better policy-making process and decision, especially in criminal justice, welfare programs, and workforce development. Before joining his Ph.D. program, he worked at the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), a foreign aid government agency in South Korea for four years. His specific work assignments at OERC include data analyses for projects such as 5G/Broadband workforce, AI and electronic vehicle industry in Ohio, and Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment. He loves biking, jogging, and weightlifting when he is away from work.
